Here is a list of great alternatives to replace MS Word.

The first option is Open Office, similar to Microsoft Office but free. There are many governmental institutions and organizations adopting it, saving thousands of dollars in licenses every years.

Google docs it’s a good web-based alternative. You can share easily your documents with other people.
