How do you choose a good home based business? First off you will need to decide what type of business you feel more comfortable with. You can choose to do affiliate marketing, network marketing or a few other concepts that are out there for you to choose from. Decide if you want to promote a product or a service. Some people will do better with a tangible item and others do better with non tangible. Both of these can create residual income because you are going to be offering these on a monthly basis.

Affiliate marketing is usually made up with a set of tools or products that are offered as a one time sale. To continue to receive more commission you need to continuous market your products. Affiliate marketing can be profitable. One of the downfalls I have found out with affiliate marketing is that you do not have support like you do in network marketing. There is several books and courses available on affiliate marketing on the Internet. But these are focuses on you doing just about everything yourself.

Network Marketing can be profitable when done correctly. You will receive more support because the person who introduces you to the business has his and your best interest in mind. Network Marketing companies usually have everything you need to market these turn key businesses. When you make a sale you receive commission as long as the customer or business builder you introduced into the business buys the product or service.

If you choose to do affiliate marketing as your primary business do research on the product and items to see what the market currently is for your product. You might find something you expect to sell for 37.00 being offered everywhere at 9.00. This competition will hurt your business. The best affiliate programs are either the ones you create yourself or ones where everyone purchases for a central location and you are paid your commission on the back end.

Regardless of what business model you choose do not neglect your education in this new field. Buy a couple of books and courses to help get your new business growing. Education is one of the pieces most new people forget. They struggle and then eventually quit thinking that these business do not work. The business didn’t work either because of your knowledge or your lack of research.

Playing Keno - Part 3 of 3

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

In our last installment of this Keno series, we’ll talk about Keno odds and some other items. Up to this point we’ve talked about some Keno basics, game differentiation and history. Now it’s time to look at the hard facts of Keno.

For starters, the question anyone should have is about winning. Can you actually win money playing Keno? Sure, but it’s not one of those casino games that you’d want to base your whole bankroll around. As I mentioned in part one of this Keno series, Keno is just like the lotto. The odds are a little better, but it’s still a guessing game. There’s no strategy involved.

While it may be complete luck, knowing some probabilities can help you make better decisions and enjoy Keno more. This is a game that should be relaxing and fun. Don’t get too stressed out over it and don’t become one of those Keno maniacs that submits 100 tickets per game.

Keno has 80 numbers and each game 20 of those numbers are selected. So, we know that each number has a 25% probability of showing up on any given game. And since that probability is so high, picking and hitting 1 number doesn’t pay much. In fact, it usually pays 1 for 3. However, considering there’s a 1 in 4 chance of winning, you do get good value for the money.

As you progress up the number scale (6-spots, 10-spots, etc), the disparity between the payout and the actual odds get much higher. So, we know that we have a 25% chance of hitting a 1-spot, but what about a 2-spot? The probability is 6%. So, if you play constantly at about one game per 5-6 minutes, you should hit a 2-spot every two hours on average.

Are you ready? The probability really takes a hit from here on out. I like playing 3-spots. I hit them now and again and here’s why. The 3-spot has a 1.4% chance of hitting, so once every 8 hours maybe. Still, not bad when you combine this with other stuff. And 2 out of 3 does return your money back.

I know a lot of Keno players and they live and die by the 6-spot. They rarely hit them, but when they do, it’s a cash bonanza. The 6-spot has a .00013% probability of being hit. Kind of crappy, but considering you can make $1,500 or more for a $1 wager, it’s not that bad.

Strategy

In closing, there’s no real strategy. However, one possible strategy may help live Keno players who like playing 6-spot or higher tickets. Make sure you also play 1-2 lower tickets, such as 1-, 2-, or 3-spots. A little cash coming in here and there will help keep you going until your 6-spot or higher comes in. Landscaping or shaping the landscape if you prefer refers to any process or activity that changes the features of a portion of land in a noticeable way, such as living elements of fauna and flora, landforms, such as ground shape and elevation or bodies of water, human elements, like structures and fences, and abstract factors such as elements to somewhat control the lighting and /or weather conditions.

Landscaping is a highly aesthetic landscape art form that needs an amount of practical knowledge having to do with plant knowledge, practical applications and working with various tools. It could be stated that the most early landscaper was the Greek philosopher Thales of Miletus, who spent a great deal of time pondering the environment and different scopes of landscaping.

Where most early landscapers argued that true landscaping modifies plants or fields directly, like in the actions of cultivation of food crops, Thales rejected this definition of landscaping or shaping the landscape, saying that any aspect of the physical world affecting a person’s visual perception of an area of land was a correct application of landscaping. Landscape and landscaping are surrounding each and everyone of us.

Both Aristotle and Plato had nothing but praise for Thales philosophical modeling involving landscape and landscaping, as well as how his theories could be applied elsewhere in philosophical exploration. G.E. Moore also cited Thales in many of his own philosophical works expressing how philosophical discourse and inquiry has led to the truest forms of human evolution and understanding.

Then in the 1800s a lot of philosophers debated whether or not visual beauty could even be considered a required objective of landscaping or controlling landscape, though by this time a lot of western philosophical thinkers had grown to refuse the idea of an objective aesthetic standard for any type of art, whether architecture or landscaping

Landscaping professionals and practitioners since the later half of the 20th century have experimented with impressive visual landscape panoramas that have since become widely accepted as falling into the category of landscaping, at least in the occident.

Most of the time we do not appreciate the quiet beauty of nice landscaping arrangements. In our busy life the time to look around and be aware of the beauty around us has become a luxury. Next time you go out of your office on a nice sunny day, why don’t you sit silently on a park bench and appreciate the landscaping around you. This well known author is an Internet enthusiast and surely likes to share his information with readers like you. Fortunately for you, decades ago Congress recognized that the credit reporting system needed an overhaul. The practices of the credit bureaus and the creditors using the credit reports they provided were abhorrent. American consumers were being taken advantage of by a system they had no way of influencing and no way of keeping in check.

To counter this, Congress enacted the Fair Credit Reporting Act which with its subsequent revisions has become the keystone for constructing your credit rights. It is because of the Fair Credit Reporting Act that you have the right to see what is being reported on your credit reports and to dispute the negative items they contain.

Along with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, there are a few other consumer protection laws that give consumers certain rights when it comes to working with the creditors and collections agencies who report to the credit bureaus. By taking advantage of their rights under each of these statutes, consumers have been able to successfully repair their credit.

Fair Credit Reporting Act
The Fair Credit Reporting Act is what got credit repair started. Because of this act, you have the right to see your credit reports and to dispute bad credit directly with the credit bureaus.

Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
Along with protecting your against abusive behavior from collectors such as contacting you at unusual hours, screaming at you, using profanity, misrepresenting their identity, or using violence in an effort to collect a debt, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act gives you powerful debt validation tools that give you the right to challenge any debt.

Fair Credit Billing Act
Similar to how the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act governs collections agencies, the Fair Credit Billing Act give you the right to dispute negative credit directly with your original creditors in order to change the way they are reporting your account to the credit bureaus.

Credit Repair Organizations Act
With all the laws surrounding credit repair, it can be overwhelming for a newcomer to try repairing their credit. Fortunately, there are legal credit repair companies who help consumers work towards a fair and accurate credit score. These credit repair companies are regulated by the Credit Repair Organizations Act which helps prevent consumers from becoming a victim of a credit repair scam. You have certain rights regarding your credit reports including the right to legally repair your credit by disputing the negative items in your credit reports. You can work to repair your credit on your own or with the help of a reputable credit repair company like Lexington Law (http://www.lexingtonlaw.com).

Almost every part of our lives has been impacted by the Internet in some fashion, but comScore, a company that specializes in analyzing trends in the online world released a study earlier this month that shows the ‘net has become the place to shop for auto insurance, and not just for a few geeky members of society.

The numbers comScore amassed show that connected consumers made 32 million requests for online insurance quotes in 2007, and purchased 2 million policies. These numbers represent increases of 15% and 37%, respectively, since 2006. Since 2004, the total number of requests for online rate quotes has surpassed the one million mark.
Why are these Numbers Increasing?

Originally, consumers logged onto the ‘net to find information and compare prices, but in 2006, user habits changed. More and more users weren’t just exploring comparison charts, they were requesting quotes and completing their auto insurance purchases online.

According to Kevin Levitt, vice president of comScore, “Consumers are demanding the freedom to choose their method for interacting with their auto insurer — whether online, by phone, or in person. The rapid growth of the Internet demonstrates the importance of a multi-channel approach that includes the ability to request quotes, purchase policies and service accounts online.”

One factor in the growth of online auto insurance sales may be the increase in options for online account management. Over the last two years, more and more insurers have implemented “e-servicing,” the ability to handle almost all policy related issues, from changing coverage to making payments, over the internet, without having to wait on hold or deal with automated phone services that cause more frustrations than solutions. In fact, from 2006 to 2007, e-service visits increased by 15% with 20% of those visits having their destinations in policy management pages.
Customers like control.

We may not be a culture of control-freaks, but it’s clear that the general public likes to feel like they are in control of their insurance policies. As Mr. Levitt explains, “Consumers appreciate the freedom and flexibility of being able to manage their policies online.”

Even better, putting this control in the hands of policy holders has resulted in a win-win situation. Insurance companies are able to offer more services for less money, and they are passing their savings on to their customers, in the form of lower rates for those who shop online.

The savings customers net from using the internet aren’t insignificant, either. According to a British study done late last year, just the act of going online to compare the rates of one company against another can yield a savings of 25% over the insurance premium you would pay if you actually called the different insurers you were considering.

More control, more savings, more flexibility. Is it any wonder that every auto insurance ad on television is pushing a website address instead of a phone number?Want to know how to get a cheap car insurance rate for up to three years? Take a defensive driving course.

Spring Driving in the Rain

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

March is almost over, and while conventional wisdom has it that April showers bring May flowers, they also bring wet-weather driving conditions. Driving in rain may not be quite as dramatic as driving in snow and ice, but it has it’s own set of hazards, so whether you have an unavoidable trip that coincides with a thunderstorm, or just happen to be out and about when the skies open up, here are some things you can do to make sure that you and your passengers don’t wind up all wet:

Spring Maintenance: The change of seasons is a good time to do some routine maintenance on your car. Since rainy-day driving requires a gentle touch on all the controls in your car (steering, clutch, accelerator, and brakes) you need to make sure all those signals are in good working order. You should also check the head-, tail- , and brake-lights on your car, and make sure there are no dead bulbs. Do the same for your turn signals.

Tread Carefully: Before the rain starts, you should also make a point of checking your tires. Bald tires have less traction on wet roads, and won’t help you avoid hydroplaning, while treads in good condition help divert the water your car is driving across or through.

Don’t Wipe Out: It goes without saying that you should replace your windshield wiper blades at least once a year, but if your car or truck is getting on in years, consider replacing the entire wiper arm. These can bend over time, and that will reduce the downward pressure needed to actually clean the windshield. While we’re on the subject, don’t be afraid to use washer fluid fairly liberally - it doesn’t cost much to replace. When you’re driving in wet weather, make sure you use your wipers - they can’t clear the water from your field of vision if you don’t turn them on. Also, stay well behind large trucks and other big vehicles, so that you don’t have to deal with as much spray and splash.

Light Up the Sky: When it’s raining, even if it’s just a light mist, make sure you have your headlights on, especially if your car doesn’t feature daytime running lights automatically. Turn them on when it’s overcast or foggy as well, because it will keep you safer, not just by helping you see the road, but also by making it easier for other drivers to see you. Remember, however, that in very foggy conditions, if you don’t have fog lights, you may not want to use high beams, because they’ll reflect back at you, making visibility even poorer. Low beams won’t do this as severely.

These four points are the essentials of staying safe in wet weather, but there’s one more thing to consider: heavy rain, with flooding. When driving in very heavy rain, especially if you’re in an area where flash floods are possible, stay in the center of the road as much as possible, because water tends to flow outward, and drive in the tracks of other cars whenever you can. As well, if you come to water so deep that you can’t see the road below it, don’t drive through. Find an alternate route, or pull over until the water drains.

Driving through a rainstorm is hazardous, but by following these advice, you can manage it safely, and save yourself the insurance hassle that comes from having an accident.Did you know that you need car insurance even if you’ve never been in a car accident? There are many places that can be hard to get to if you have decreased mobility from muscular diseases, arthritis, or old age. Places like the attic, crawlspace, and roof can all be very hard to get to but they can also for the most part be easily avoided. One place that can be hard to get to is the bath tub. The bath tub is a place that really should not be avoided as it is one of the best ways to maintain proper personal hygiene. It can be incredibly hard for many who are mobility challenged to bend down low enough to get into the tub, then once down getting back up can be near impossible to do on your own.

A bath lift can in many ways help to restore freedom and independence. A bath lift is essentially a chair that lowers into the bath tub and then rises to become flush with the top of the bath tub. This makes taking a bath very simple and often removes the need of having a loved one or a paid nurse help you take a bath. A bath lift can also be a tremendous asset if you are a primary care giver who has struggled with getting your ward out of the bath tub.

There are several popular types of bath lifts on the market. Perhaps one of the most well known and arguably best made models is the AmeriGlide Bath Lift, available at http://www.a1-medical-supplies.net. It features a lightweight and easy to use floating remote control and supports up to 375 pounds. Since AmeriGlide, a quality producer of home medical equipment always has safety on the mind, and the rechargeable battery powered AmeriGlide Bath Lift is no exception. It will not lower if it does not have enough power to rise again and was designed to meet the needs of occupational therapists and health care professionals.
