There is no doubt about it, panic attack are the most horrible disorder that anyone can suffer from. They happen without warning at any time and any place. Often times panic attacks happen in public or in large crowds of people, however, it is possible to recognize panic attack symptoms allowing you to get out of whatever situation you are in.

If you are prone to panic attacks you can chart your panic attack symptoms in order to recognize what they are and what caused them to occur. If you can recognize the symptoms, you may be able to form a plan when you feel them coming on.

Rapid heartbeat, or palpitations

Uncontrollable shaking

Sweatiness

Chest pain

Dizziness

Shortness of breath

A feeling of being smothered

These are just a few panic attack symptoms; there are many more that you must familiarize yourself with these panic attack symptoms in order to determine when a panic attack is eminent. You will be better equipped to handle the situation.

Other panic attack symptoms include

Chills

Losing your skin color

Numbness in your hands face or body

Overwhelming urge to go to the bathroom

Blushing

This is not to say that you will experience all of these panic attack symptoms, or that they will be so severe that you feel like you are going insane. On the same note, you may have a completely different set of symptoms altogether. It is however very likely that you will experience one or more of the panic attack symptoms. The key is to be able to understand and recognize why the panic attacks occur to begin with. By know what is causing them, you will be better able to take control when they occur.

There are a lot of myths regarding panic attacks, the biggest one being that you literally can be scared to death. This simply does not happen. You may feel like you are having a heart attack, however you most likely are not.

Panic attacks occur for many different reasons, some emotional and some environmental. It is up to you and your doctor to determine if you are having panic attacks and what panic attack symptoms affect you and get them under control.

Many people who suffer from panic attacks are afraid to leave their home, whether to go to work of shopping or even to dinner. Panic attacks can be very frightening, and even more so, embarrassing. They do not want to go out in public because they are afraid that panic attack symptoms will occur and they will end up looking crazy. This is why it is so important that you recognize panic attack symptoms so you can gain control over your life. It is possible to live a normal life with panic attacks, you just have to know how to recognize and manage the symptoms.

It is important that you follow your doctors advice, if he or she recommends that you see a behavioral therapist, then do it. The results will benefit you in the end.
