Longton Ladybirds Nursery School In Preston - FREE Places Available Our aim is to provide your child with a safe and nurturing environment where they can become happy, confident learners. Ladybirds is a committee run registered charity and has been established in the village for over 20 years. We are situated in the heart of the village on School Lane opposite Longton Primary School. We are fortunate enough to have a large garden and purpose built all weather play area. Our indoor space is bright, warm, spacious and well equipped with a wide range of resources. The nursery staff are a long established team who are fully qualified and experienced. They provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment working to the current Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. We work in partnership with parents to ensure all our children are treated as individuals. We always respect parents as the primary educators of their children and work jointly with them to give children the best start in their early learning experiences. We have a keyworker system in place which in sharing information and building relationships with carers we enable your children to feel safe and secure. This ensures their time at Ladybirds will equip them with all the necessary skills. We have a lunch club Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 12.30 - 1. 00pm You may wish to access this at either the end of a morning session or before an afternoon session. It can also be used to link morning and afternoon sessions to give a full day. Children bring their own packed lunch. Free Early Years Entitlement Funding The Free Early Years Entitlement Funding funds a guaranteed free part time early education place for every 3 and 4 year old child, starting from the term after the third birthday. If your child is coming up to 3 or 4 years old and you are paying for a childcare or early education service, you could be entitled to a free part time place by applying for the Free Early Years Entitlement Funding. The Free Early Years Education Entitlement can be accessed at Longton Ladybirds - 15 free hours of nursery education per week for your child the term after their 3rd birthday.
